About Dr. Tachuk
Dr. Michael Tachuk has been a Director for the California Academy of Cosmetic Surgery for 6 years. He has been active in the medical community as well as giving back to the greater San Diego community for over 30 years. Prior to opening his present practice in Point Loma, Dr. Michael had a family medicine practice with over 20,000 patients in El Cajon. His focus was weight loss and minor cosmetic procedures. The local paper wrote him up at the time as the busiest family doctor in the city.
Nineteen years ago, Dr. Michael opened Viva Wellness specializing only in weight loss and cosmetic procedures. Since then he has regularly attended cutting edge specialized training workshops on the latest in cosmetic, weight loss and anti -aging procedures and medicine. Dr. Michael has trained with top Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeons from Beverly Hills, to New York and Rio De Janeiro (the legendary Dr. Ivo Pitanguy). He also keeps in contact with some of the most well-known national authorities on weight loss, anti-aging and stem cell medicine.
Dr. Michael is associated with the American Academy for Anti -Aging Medicine, The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, The San Diego County Medical Society, The California Medical Society and the American Medical Association. Dr. Michael has also been chosen by the Consumers Research Council of America as one of the Top Physicians in America.
