You have very likely seen the fantastic results that people are getting from using BOTOX® in order to get rid of their dynamic wrinkles. This is one of the easiest and quickest ways to refresh your appearance. However, you may be wondering if you are actually a candidate for this treatment.
While we cannot promise that you are a candidate for this treatment without actually conducting an evaluation, we can give you some of the basic information that we will look for when you come in for your first consultation. Please feel free to contact us and set up a consultation. We will be able to determine for sure if you qualify and help you get a good idea of the kind of results that you can expect when you come into our office.
In order to qualify for this treatment, you have to be at least 18 years of age. At first, this may sound a little bit funny because individuals who are younger than 18 usually are not dealing with dynamic wrinkles. While it is true that we are not likely to use this product on someone who is that young, it is also true that we encourage our clients to come in when they are on the younger side in order to prevent dynamic wrinkles from ever forming in the first place. And you need to be under 65 years old. The FDA has only approved BOTOX® treatments for cosmetic purposes to be used on individuals in this age range.
There are certain health requirements that you need to meet in order to qualify as a candidate for BOTOX®. Basically, you need to enjoy overall good health. If you have serious health concerns, you may not qualify.
Good candidates for BOTOX® have realistic expectations regarding the treatment and the results. They understand that they will still look like the same person after the procedure. The only difference will be that the treated area shows less signs of dynamic wrinkling.
