How Does Laser Tattoo Removal Work?
Laser tattoo removal works by breaking up the pigments in a tattoo with light emitted from a laser. The color black responds best to the treatment. For other colors, a specific laser light must be selected.
How Many Laser Tattoo Removal Sessions Will I Need?
The amount of sessions a patient requires depends on the colors, age, and size of the tattoo. Every treatment is tailored to each individual in order to achieve the best results. Some tattoos can be removed completely in as little as two visits, while more complex cases may require 10 or more sessions.
What Can I Expect During My Laser Tattoo Removal Treatment?
During a treatment, the patient is fitted with protective lenses while the laser is being administered. A handheld device is held against the skin by our Registered Nurse, activating the laser and delivering pulses. The minimal discomfort of a pulse can most closely be compared to the feeling of a rubber band being snapped against the skin. After the session, the tattoo will appear significantly lighter.
