The PDO (Polydioxanone) thread lift is a non-invasive treatment that lifts and tightens sagging skin without going under the knife. The threads are introduced into the deeper layers of the skin resulting in 3 effects:

  • Skin tightening. By contracting fat tissue.
  • Collagen stimulation. Which promotes cellular renewal and improves skin texture, fine lines, and elasticity.
  • Instant skin lifting. PDO instant result.

The effects of using MEDiTHREAD PDO suture as a treatment are rejuvenation, lifting effect, toning of the tissue, wrinkle improvement, and hydrated skin. When using MEDITHREAD’s you will see immediate improvements in the appearance of the skin.

After two weeks the body starts the formation of natural protein of the body (elastin and collagen). Production of natural proteins continues up to 6 months until the PDO thread absorption (hydrolysis) is complete.

The lifted facial contour will remain for about 9-12 months after the procedure, due to the collagen stimulation effects. The threads will form an integrated support structure for the tissue of the face because of the formation of new collagen and elastin. This production of new collagen protein results in increased elasticity and firmness of the skin. Inserted with microneedles or cannulas, this powerful synthetic fiber which is absorbed in 4-6 months, leaving the skin firmer, more elastic and better hydrated. At the same time, the PDO threads cause the fat tissue to contract and produce the skin tightening effect.

After you receive your PDO MEDiTHREADS, your face may be slightly bruised and/or swollen, but this typically subsides within 2-3 days. This is an added bonus for men and women with a busy schedule who don’t want to take a long absence from work or other daily obligations. You won’t have to return to Viva Wellness Medical Group to have sutures removed or wounds checked for healing because the sutures are dissolvable and there’s no need for incisions of any kind. Bruising and swelling can be minimized by avoiding alcohol, supplements such as Vitamin E, Omega Fish oils as well as Aspirin and other blood thinners for three days prior to the procedure.
